Eliot Hobbs, the founder and owner of Eliot Hobbs Construction, has more than 15+ years’ experience in the building industry, working in both the Charlotte area and on Kiawah Island, SC. He takes pride in creating strong, lasting relationships with architects and with carefully chosen craftsmen and subcontractors.
Most importantly, Eliot recognizes the significance of gaining and maintaining the faith and confidence of his clients. Eliot Hobbs Construction builds homes and relationships that last. When not at work, Eliot enjoys playing and singing Bluegrass music and having quality time with his wife Kim and their sons, Ben, Sam, and Sawyer. Together, the family often spends weekends fishing, hiking, and camping.
Van Covington began his construction career in 2004 in Georgia and in Florida. He continued to work in the building industry in the Charleston and Kiawah Island areas. Eliot Hobbs Construction is delighted to have someone of Van’s caliber on its team.
Van particularly enjoys custom home building because it allows him to work closely with a team of homeowners and architects who are all pursuing a common goal of building a dream home of the utmost quality.
In his spare time, Van enjoys water sports and taking trips to the mountains with his wife and two daughters.

I take pleasure in offering my whole hearted recommendation of Eliot Hobbs. I have had the opportunity to complete two long distance renovations on my home on Kiawah island with the aide of Eliot. I found him to be honest , straight forward, budget minded, and very skilled at his job. My last remodel was estimated to require three months to finish. Eliot was able to organize and steer it to completion in two, to accommodate my arriving guest!
